Six Senses Xala opening in Mexico next year

in Future Openings
Set along one of Mexico’s most untouched coastlines, Six Senses Xala will bring its concept of emotional hospitality to guests seeking adventure, rejuvenation, and a deeper sense of reconnection.
Secluded within a verdant landscape, yet just 10 minutes from Chalacatepec International Airport, the resort combines a strong sense of escape with easy accessibility. Located along five miles of curving white-sand beach, framed by mango fields, coconut palms, and the pristine Pacific Ocean, the property lies within the Costalegre region – Mexico’s “Cheerful Coast.”
The resort will feature 51 guest accommodations, all with private pools, ranging from beachfront and elevated rooms and suites to one- to three-bedroom villas. In addition, 25 four- and five-bedroom branded residences will be available, offering owners full access to the resort’s amenities and services, alongside bespoke, turnkey interiors.
Wellness remains at the heart of the experience, with a holistic approach that combines high-tech and high-touch therapies designed to support growth, reflection, and reconnection. For more active guests, indoor fitness spaces extend seamlessly into outdoor trails, while the Six Senses Spa provides a calming, restorative setting for locally inspired treatments, multi-day programs, and immersive wellness journeys.
Culinary offerings will follow the Eat With Six Senses philosophy, highlighting local produce and the flavors of Mexico’s Pacific coast. Guests can expect a variety of dining concepts, including a main restaurant, signature restaurant, deli, bakery, farmers’ market, and a relaxed, feet-in-the-sand surf club and bar. Additional experiences include destination dining centered around an earth oven, a chef’s table, and a cookery school.
The Beach Club and pool will serve as a dynamic hub for socializing, relaxation, and celebration, evolving throughout the day and adapting to the rhythms of the seasons.
Sustainability is deeply embedded in the project. In partnership with the local community, 590 acres of land are currently being reforested, while a coastal protection reef is under development to enhance surf conditions and safeguard marine ecosystems. Local families and farms will also benefit from upgraded infrastructure, including renewable energy, improved water supply, and wastewater management.
Looking ahead, Six Senses is set to expand further with upcoming openings in Milan, Tel Aviv, Quexigal in Spain, the Loire Valley in France, Wadi Safar in Saudi Arabia, and Porto Heli in Greece – all planned to open within the next year.
