Radisson Collection opens in Lake Como with more landmark hotels on the horizon

Radisson Hotel Group has just opened Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, A Radisson Collection Hotel, bringing the brand to one of Italy’s most iconic lake destinations.
The restored historic palazzo, originally opened in 1926, introduces 70 refined rooms and suites, three distinctive dining venues including a rooftop restaurant, an intimate urban spa and curated private lake experiences, positioning it as a new address for understated luxury on the lake.
At the heart of the hotel is Radiante, the signature fine dining restaurant led by Chef Danilo Vella. The restaurant interprets Italian culinary traditions through contemporary techniques and regional influences, with dishes such as lamb with sea urchin and samphire, mackerel with smoked provola, and ditali pasta with mantis shrimp and salted lemon.
Above the city, Lumi Rooftop Bar & Restaurant offers panoramic views across Como’s rooftops and surrounding mountains, pairing light Mediterranean dishes with signature cocktails and a curated wine list.
Caffè Lariano, led by Chef Mirko Gatti, presents an international-inspired luxury bistro concept centred on seasonal ingredients and circular cuisine, complemented by an in-house pastry laboratory.
The Lake Como opening also signals the beginning of Radisson Collection’s next expansion phase. In 2026 the brand will add several new destinations to its portfolio, including Radisson Collection Residence, Riyadh; Banke Opera Paris, A Radisson Collection Hotel, the brand’s first hotel in the French capital; and Lincoln Casablanca, A Radisson Collection Hotel, a major restoration of the historic 1916 Art Deco landmark on Mohammed V Avenue.
Further openings are planned for 2027. These include Maison Rivoli Paris, a new lifestyle property in central Paris; Atiara Ubud Bali, A Radisson Collection Resort, marking the brand’s debut in Indonesia; and Marsa Alam Port Phoenice, a Red Sea resort in Egypt set within a new waterfront community surrounded by coral reefs and untouched coastline.
The expansion follows a strong year for the brand in 2025, which saw the opening of Radisson Collection Resort, Galle; Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin; Cour des Loges Lyon; Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest and The National Brussels.
