Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand, has welcomed San Clemente Palace Venice as the newest member of its Legend Collection.
Set on its own eight-hectare island in the Venetian Lagoon, San Clemente Palace Venice is surrounded by Mediterranean gardens and the tranquil waters of the lagoon, yet lies just around ten minutes by complimentary wooden shuttle boat from St. Mark’s Square.
The five-star property features 189 rooms and suites, alongside historic courtyards and a Romanesque church dating back to 1131. Rooms start at 35 square metres, while the hotel’s signature suites extend up to 200 square metres.
A major part of the resort experience is dedicated to wellness and recreation. Facilities include The Longevity Spa – Milano, a heated outdoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, a 1.5-kilometre jogging path, tennis court and waterside pitch-and-putt area. The estate also offers Mediterranean gardens, vintage bicycles and an open-air cinema.
The hotel’s culinary offering spans several restaurants and bars. Acquerello Fine Dining focuses on modern Venetian cuisine and traditional Italian flavours, while Le Specialità – Milano offers a more relaxed Italian dining experience in the gardens. The resort also features Clemente Bar, Sunset Bar and Pool Bar.
The addition places San Clemente Palace Venice within Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection, which brings together some of the group’s most distinctive independent luxury hotels worldwide. According to Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the collection is reserved for iconic and distinguished properties offering exceptional guest experiences.
