Bristol Berlin joins IHG’s Vignette Collection

The legendary Bristol Berlin has joined IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection, becoming the brand’s first hotel in Germany.
Located on Berlin’s renowned Kurfürstendamm, the landmark luxury hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with the final phase of the transformation scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
The renovation includes all 303 guestrooms, comprising 247 rooms and 56 suites, as well as the hotel’s public areas. Historic architectural features, including the landmark spiral staircase, are being carefully restored and integrated into the property’s contemporary new design.
Opened in 1952 as Hotel Kempinski, the property was Berlin’s first newly opened luxury hotel after the Second World War and has hosted countless world leaders, Hollywood stars and distinguished figures, including John F. Kennedy, Liza Minnelli and Alfred Hitchcock.
After joining IHG Hotels & Resorts in 2025, the landmark hotel has now begun a new chapter as Germany’s first member of the Vignette Collection.
Launched in 2021, Vignette Collection brings together distinctive luxury and lifestyle hotels that retain their individual character while benefiting from IHG’s global distribution, technology and loyalty platform. The collection now comprises 38 open hotels worldwide, with many more properties in the pipeline.
