W Barcelona is refurbishing its rooms

Behind W Barcelona’s distinctive sail-shaped façade, designed by world-renowned architect Ricardo Bofill, a new chapter is taking shape.

The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive renovation spanning all 473 guestrooms, suites and public spaces. The refurbishment is currently scheduled for completion in spring 2027, with the hotel remaining fully operational throughout the project.

After welcoming guests for more than 15 years, the time has come for a well-deserved refresh.

Upon completion, the refurbishment is expected to reinforce W Barcelona’s position as one of Barcelona’s leading lifestyle hotels.
