The Langham Bangkok to open in December

Langham Hotels & Resorts is set to open its first property in Thailand.

The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok is now accepting reservations for stays from 20 December 2026.
Situated on the banks of Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River, the new hotel will bring new life to the city’s historic Custom House and former Post Office. Established in 1888 during the reign of King Rama V, the Custom House once served as a gateway for merchants, diplomats and travellers arriving in Siam and has now been restored as the centrepiece of the new luxury hotel.
The 75-key property has been conceived as an intimate urban retreat, comprising 60 guestrooms and 15 suites housed within a contemporary building adjacent to the historic Custom House.

Designed by renowned Thai architect Smith Obayawat, Founder and Principal of OBA, the new structure draws inspiration from the movement of the Chao Phraya River, with a curved form and faceted glass façade reflecting the surrounding water.
At the heart of the property, the restored Custom House and adjoining heritage buildings will serve as the hotel’s social and culinary hub, housing restaurants, bars and event spaces. The contemporary wing, meanwhile, will be dedicated to accommodation and wellness.
The wellness offering will include The Langham’s signature Chuan Spa and a state-of-the-art fitness centre featuring Technogym’s Sandstone collection – the first installation of its kind in Asia.
The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok will mark the arrival of The Langham brand in Thailand and expand the group’s presence in Southeast Asia, combining one of Bangkok’s most significant historic landmarks with a contemporary riverside hotel.
