Six Senses is coming to Beijing

in Future Openings
Six Senses will open a new luxury restorative retreat in Beijing’s Haidian District.
The property will feature 75 guest rooms and suites, ranging from one to four bedrooms, reinterpreting traditional siheyuan homes and combining historic architectural design with a contemporary expression of courtyard living. Exteriors will open onto private gardens and boat jetties or share sheltered courtyards screened by magnolia trees.
Six Senses Beijing will rise from land once used as imperial rice paddies supplying the royal court. Waterways and lotus ponds will shape the terrain, referencing the area’s historical landscape while reintroducing elements of its original setting.
A boat pier will connect the arrival lobby and lounge with the resort amenities, many of which will be positioned directly on the water. Light-filled pavilions will house dining spaces, blending historic motifs with contemporary design.
Wellness will remain central to the concept, with signature programmes including personalised wellness screenings, biohacking experiences and Sleep With Six Senses, combining scientific approaches with traditional practices to shape each stay.
The Beijing project forms part of a broader development pipeline for the brand, with a new opening planned in Dubai in September this year and Six Senses Xala set to follow in 2027, while Kocataş Mansions in Istanbul is no longer part of the Six Senses portfolio.
