Corinthia Rome to open February 28

One of the most anticipated hotel openings of the year: Corinthia Rome will officially open its doors on February 28, marking the brand’s debut in Italy. The property is set within a grand neoclassical palazzo on Piazza del Parlamento, formerly the headquarters of Italy’s Central Bank.
The restoration has preserved original features, including marble panelling, frescoes and carved wood, while new interiors by G.A. Design introduce contemporary detailing.
The site has been reimagined as an intimate 60-room hotel, including 21 suites, balancing historical character with modern craftsmanship, and will feature two restaurants, a bar, as well as a spa located in the former bank’s vault.
A significant culinary dimension accompanies the opening, marking the arrival of chef Carlo Cracco in Rome. The entire food and beverage programme has been curated by Carlo Cracco, in collaboration with Executive Chef Alessandro Buffolino.
The hotel will house three distinct venues:
Ocra Bar, inspired by the tones and textures of Roman sunsets, offering drinks and light plates.
Viride, the hotel’s signature restaurant, drawing on the gardens and flavours of a contemporary Italian cuisine.
Piazzetta, located in the internal courtyard, serving traditional Roman dishes in an all-day format.
Looking ahead, Corinthia continues its strategic expansion with several high-profile developments recently announced. Corinthia Gewan Island is scheduled to open in 2027, followed by Corinthia Lake Como in 2028.
