Palais Coburg Vienna reopens in August as an all-suite private guest residence

One of Vienna’s most distinguished luxury hotels is preparing for a new chapter. Following an extensive transformation, Palais Coburg Vienna will reopen on 3 August 2026 as an exclusive all-suite private guest residence, introducing a renewed concept centred on privacy, personalised service and residential-style luxury.
Located within a landmark 19th-century palace, the property will feature 36 newly designed suites, blending the building’s aristocratic heritage with newly reimagined interiors and modern comforts.
Rather than operating as a traditional luxury hotel, Palais Coburg Vienna will embrace the concept of a private guest residence, placing discretion, exclusivity and highly personalised hospitality at the centre of every stay. The meticulously restored Belle Étage, historic state rooms and tranquil palace gardens further enhance the property’s unique residential character.
The palace’s celebrated culinary offering remains an integral part of the guest experience. The two-MICHELIN-starred Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant showcases contemporary haute cuisine by Chef Silvio Nickol, inspired by French techniques, Asian influences and the finest regional ingredients. For a more relaxed atmosphere, Clementine im Glashaus serves modern Austrian cuisine with international flair in its elegant glasshouse setting.
Complementing the culinary offering is one of Europe’s most remarkable wine collections. Housed across six historic wine cellars, Palais Coburg Vienna is home to more than 60000 bottles, including numerous rare vintages that have earned the property an international reputation among wine connoisseurs. Guests can also look forward to a newly modernised spa and wellness area, alongside a state-of-the-art fitness centre with exclusive access to the palace gardens.
