W South Beach to become Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach

The former W South Beach, one of Miami Beach’s most storied oceanfront addresses, is set to begin a new chapter as Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach, following the signing of a management agreement between Hilton and Reuben Brothers.

The landmark resort will undergo an extensive renovation and repositioning ahead of its planned relaunch in Winter 2027.
Located on a prime stretch of Collins Avenue, the 20-storey property enjoys one of Miami Beach’s most sought-after beachfront addresses, offering direct access to the beach and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Miami skyline.

The redesign is being led by Avenue Interior Design.
Following its transformation, the resort will offer 348 newly refreshed suites, among the most spacious in the Miami Beach market, all featuring private balconies and ocean views. Guests can also look forward to a reimagined arrival experience centred around Waldorf Astoria’s signature Peacock Alley, a new food and beverage programme led by internationally renowned culinary talent, a redesigned spa and wellness experience, an enhanced fitness centre, upgraded pool facilities with private cabanas across the 48000-square-foot pool deck, and revitalised event spaces for celebrations and social gatherings.
The project marks another milestone in the partnership between Hilton and Reuben Brothers, following their recent collaboration on the forthcoming Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch.

Upon reopening, Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach will participate in Hilton Honors and join Waldorf Astoria’s global portfolio of 40 luxury hotels. Waldorf Astoria’s presence in the region will expand further with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Miami in Downtown Miami, currently scheduled for 2028.
