Casa Cook resort to open near Mount Athos

The historic Xenia Hotel in Ouranoupoli, Greece, is set to reopen in 2027 as Casa Cook Athos following an extensive renovation and its integration into the Domes Resorts portfolio.
Built in 1959 by Greek architect Pericles Sakellarios, the property forms part of Greece’s historic Xenia hotel network and is considered an important example of postwar modernist architecture.
Upon completion, the property will offer more than 80 rooms and will become the first Casa Cook hotel developed by Domes Resorts.
The Casa Cook brand is known for its collection of boutique, adults-only hotels focused on quiet luxury, making it a particularly fitting addition to Ouranoupoli. Located near Mount Athos, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Orthodox Christians, the coastal town serves as the main departure point for the monastic republic and remains closely connected to the spiritual heritage of northern Greece.
