TemptingPlaces Collection joins GHA; expands into Africa with 3 hotel openings in 2026

TemptingPlaces Collection, the 5-star lifestyle hotel brand known for blending French heritage with avant-garde aesthetics, is expanding its unique portfolio with the addition of three new hotel openings across Africa, all scheduled for 2026.

Launched in 2017 by Yannick Gavelle and Nicolas Dubois, founders of the Hôtels & Préférence Group, TemptingPlaces Collection was created as a 5-star lifestyle hotel collection bringing together distinctive properties defined by authenticity, elegance and a strong sense of hospitality.

The newly announced additions reflect the brand’s ambition to connect European destinations with emerging markets, particularly across Africa – a region the founders identified early on as a major luxury hospitality growth market.

Blissinity Hotels & Resorts Assinie, set to open in September 2026 on Côte d’Ivoire’s coastline, leads the upcoming openings. Further openings scheduled for 2026 include Sirah Hotels & Resorts Accra in Ghana’s capital and Sirah Hotels & Resorts Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso’s capital.

The Collection’s expansion into West Africa marks a significant development, following another milestone announced in January when Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) welcomed TemptingPlaces Collection as its 57th participating brand.

Current properties within TemptingPlaces include Château d’Augerville Golf & Spa Resort in Fontainebleau, France, and Dent Blanche Resort in Sion, Switzerland.
