A Hotel Icon Refined: Park Hyatt Tokyo Reopens in December

Legendary hotels shape the way we travel — Park Hyatt Tokyo is one of the finest examples.
Since its debut atop the Shinjuku Park Tower in 1994, the property has been synonymous with cinematic allure and discreet luxury. Immortalized in Sofia Coppola‘s Lost in Translation, it secured its place in both cultural and travel history as one of the world’s most distinctive addresses.
An elegant oasis of space and calm, Park Hyatt Tokyo offers sweeping 360-degree views of the city and Mount Fuji. Following a comprehensive refinement in celebration of its 30th anniversary, which began in May 2024, the hotel is now ready to enter its next chapter.
The transformation was led by Paris-based design studio Jouin Manku. Among the highlights is the new Park Suite category, with striking views over Harajuku, Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Yoyogi Park.
Alongside the refreshed accommodations, guests can look forward to enhanced dining destinations — most notably Girandole by Alain Ducasse, which will bring a new culinary dimension to the hotel’s celebrated gastronomy.
As it reopens on December 9th, 2025, Park Hyatt Tokyo invites guests to rediscover a legendary hotel — refined for its 30th anniversary and ready for a new era.
