Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena: Reservations now open for stays from April

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena will welcome its first guests this April, marking the brand’s debut on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Set in the vibrant, art-filled neighbourhood of Getsemaní, the property sits just steps from Cartagena’s historic Walled City, blending heritage architecture with contemporary luxury hospitality.
The hotel brings together an extraordinary collection of restored historic buildings, including the 16th-century San Francisco cloister, alongside a series of theatres and the landmark 1920s Club Cartagena, creating a destination deeply rooted in the city’s cultural fabric.
The design vision was led by celebrated French designer François Catroux, whose timeless aesthetic shapes the property throughout. French studio SBM Interior Design developed the food and beverage spaces, extending Catroux’s language across the Club Cartagena venues. WATG integrated the concept architecturally, while Wimberly Interiors and award-winning AvroKO contributed to the interiors. Local craftsmanship is central to the project, with Colombian designer Poli Mallarino contributing furniture and textiles alongside Switzerland’s Enea Garden Design.
The hotel offers 131 guest rooms and suites, many featuring private terraces. Among them are 27 Spanish colonial-style accommodations, including 18 rooms arranged around an interior courtyard within the former cloister, as well as the two-bedroom Presidential Suite, named the Catroux Suite in homage to its designer.
Eight distinct restaurant and bar concepts will shape the culinary experience.
Designed as a holistic wellness destination, UMARI Spa features six treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, together with a hair salon, nail services and a 24/7 state-of-the-art fitness centre.
Panoramic views across Cartagena’s eclectic neighbourhoods, busy harbour and Caribbean sunsets can be enjoyed from two rooftop pool decks.
The property also includes 15 luxury Private Residences.
Other anticipated Four Seasons openings scheduled for this year are Hotel Danieli in Venice, along with new properties in Mykonos and Gstaad.
