Clarion Hotel Sign Stockholm: New suites designed by Prince of Sweden Carl Philip’s studio Bernadotte & Kylberg

Clarion Hotel Sign in Stockholm has recently unveiled the new Stratum Suites, designed by Swedish design studio Bernadotte & Kylberg, led by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Oscar Kylberg.
The three suites were created using Swedish-manufactured materials and products throughout, reflecting a strong focus on local craftsmanship and production. Each suite has its own colour palette, inspired by the rooftop tones visible outside the windows, while the interiors draw on Stockholm’s residential heritage through a contemporary Nordic design expression.
Geometric-patterned carpets reference the classic herringbone timber flooring found in many of the city’s historic apartments. Bathrooms are lined with ceramic tiles textured to resemble woven textiles, referencing traditional canvas wallpaper.
Prince Carl Philip, the only son of King Carl XVI Gustaf and fourth in line to the Swedish throne, co-founded Bernadotte & Kylberg in 2012. Since then, the studio has expanded from product design into interiors and hospitality projects.
Clarion Hotel Sign, designed by architect Gert Wingårdh, has been a hub for Nordic design since opening. With the addition of the Stratum Suites, the hotel adds a new design dimension to its offering.
